So...this happened...

Whilst building our Kiki & Queenie empire today we happened upon three questionable eggs and this was clearly the only solution... twelve cups of tea and four hours later. At least it was worth it...

Meet the gang.

Banshee Beat

We love these collages from Banshee Beat, which evoke a sense of ethereal 70's mysticism, making me want to sit in some foothills with a bearded shamen whilst wearing some wings and a sporting an oversized hat.

Gabriel and Schwan

Gabriel and Schwan was founded in 2006 by Fenke Shwan and Alex Gabriel. We love their use of bold hued leathers, geometric shapes and cleverly appropriated knots. We reckon they work to create a fun contemporary nautical theme, ideal for when we're aboard our yachts then.

What? There's nothing to see here... There's something on my head you say?

I guess the only question is: When wouldn't you wear this?

(Another favourite is The Delightful Marie Rose Ship Hat)

What with Kiki and myself planning a jaunt to Bestival this year we are starting to consider the theme of 'fantasy' early. You can never have too much inspiration. And inspire this Vogue shoot does...

Knife Skills

These delicate maps from Famille Summerville are so dainty and full of tiny intricate characters. Slightly impractical for a city jaunt, but so very pleasing to my eyes.

Miu Miu S/S 2010 Collection. Spangles, pastels, blooming amazing shoes and best of all- repeat cat print. Yesss.

Now here at Kiki & Queenie we are slightly partial to an animal print. And I'm not meaning just leopard. A while ago we can across The Dream a.k.a a beauteous blouse featuring tiny animals that are associated with hunting.

Yep. Most unusual. Most joyful. Just imagine slipping into this for the day... The store is coming very soon, so keep an eye out if you fancy sporting it yourself...

Les Queues de Sardines

The 2010 Spring/Summer collection of french hosiery designers 'Les Queues de Sardines' is now available online, and as it's not quite warm enough to swan around with bare ankles like a harlet, it's the perfect time to sport these creations.

A state over flux.

Lu Flux is a London based designer specialising in salvaging vintage fabrics and re-working them into something that will make you want to weep, pull yourself together and then buy it. Combining the elderly folk techniques of knitting, crochet, and patch work Lu Flux achieves exciting contemporary designs that have featured in numerous editions of Frankie, and online at Amelia's Magazine and Vogue.

Bet you can guess which one is our favourite....
