Pretty Swish

Here at Kiki and Queenie we LOVE Swash.

Have a look at their amazing website here. Floating dog heads anyone? What I'd do to own this scarf-
 Large Blue Balloon Print Scarf

Their images are just so creative and fantastical. I don't think I could ever get bored of gazing at dogs gently floating from ornate hot air balloons. As for the clothes-

Best outfit ever. Seriously. Practicality levels might not be so high (I'd ladder those beauteous leg adornments within a minute of even looking at them). But pretty levels are off any scale ever.

If you want to see more from their spring/summer 2010 collection or to know who the photographer, stylist, model etc are then look here. Available to buy here (Liberties) and here (Opening Ceremony)

What? There's nothing to see here... There's something on my head you say?

I guess the only question is: When wouldn't you wear this?

(Another favourite is The Delightful Marie Rose Ship Hat)

So... 'Fantasy'

What with Kiki and myself planning a jaunt to Bestival this year we are starting to consider the theme of 'fantasy' early. You can never have too much inspiration. And inspire this Vogue shoot does...

Miu Miu S/S 2010 Collection. Spangles, pastels, blooming amazing shoes and best of all- repeat cat print. Yesss.

Now here at Kiki & Queenie we are slightly partial to an animal print. And I'm not meaning just leopard. A while ago we can across The Dream a.k.a a beauteous blouse featuring tiny animals that are associated with hunting.

Yep. Most unusual. Most joyful. Just imagine slipping into this for the day... The store is coming very soon, so keep an eye out if you fancy sporting it yourself...

Les Queues de Sardines

The 2010 Spring/Summer collection of french hosiery designers 'Les Queues de Sardines' is now available online, and as it's not quite warm enough to swan around with bare ankles like a harlet, it's the perfect time to sport these creations.

A state over flux.

Lu Flux is a London based designer specialising in salvaging vintage fabrics and re-working them into something that will make you want to weep, pull yourself together and then buy it. Combining the elderly folk techniques of knitting, crochet, and patch work Lu Flux achieves exciting contemporary designs that have featured in numerous editions of Frankie, and online at Amelia's Magazine and Vogue.

Bet you can guess which one is our favourite....

I saw a clog.

What was once an unsightly aberration reserved just for those pacing wards and tiny old dutch women, are now causing quite the stir thanks to Karl Lagerfeld's nifty gloved hand, and Alexa's sporting of them on the most recent Vogue cover. Here they are paraded on hay at Chanel's farm themed show at the Grand Palais, inspired by Marie Antoinette's 'Petit Hameau' at Versailles.

And miu miu...
Here's a veritable selection of wooden treats, showing how far the rustic footwear has come from those we all owned when we were 10.
